Thank you for your interest in the Cablenet Famagusta Marathon Volunteering Program!

The Famagusta Marathon Volunteering Program, organized by Game On Marketing, is designed to inspire community spirit, encourage active participation, and foster collaboration — all with the goal of contributing to our shared social responsibility. Our program welcomes individuals and groups from all walks of life, offering training, support, and coordination to ensure that every volunteer plays a valuable role in delivering a world-class event.

From the vibrant pre-race activities to the excitement of race day, our volunteers are the heartbeat of the event — providing high-quality services to runners, spectators, and guests, ensuring a safe, friendly, and unforgettable experience.

In addition to supporting the race, the Famagusta Marathon Volunteering Program embraces sustainability as a core value. For years, we have been committed to environmental initiatives such as carbon footprint reduction, plastic recycling, and sportswear collection for reuse — all in alignment with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By working with local communities, schools, non-profit organizations, cultural institutions, and private partners, we aim to create a positive impact that lasts well beyond race day.

When joining our team, we ask that you:

  • Represent the Famagusta Marathon Volunteers Team with friendliness, responsibility, and respect.
  • Treat everyone — runners, guests, and fellow volunteers — with courtesy.
  • Avoid negative or disrespectful remarks about participants, staff, or volunteers.
  • Refrain from using offensive or inappropriate language, including in any form of social media.
  • Do not use alcohol or tobacco during official volunteer duties.
  • Be punctual and follow your team leader’s instructions.
