General Terms & Conditions

  • Every runner who submits his/her entry form is doing so voluntarily, agrees and fully commits to follow the rules and conditions of the event, as mentioned below.

  • The age limit to participate in the 30km is 18+ years old and it concerns only able-bodied runners.

  • The age limit to participate in the 10km Road Race is 15+ years old and it concerns only able-bodied runners.

  • The age limit to participate in the 5km Road Race is 12+ years old and it concerns only able-bodied runners.

  • The age limit to participate in the 1km Kids’ Run is set from 4 to 12 years old. Children aged 6 and under are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

    The Famagusta Run Organizing Committee has the right to change the event’s schedule, terms, and conditions regarding participation and staging of the event, without prior notice, by posting such a decision on the official event website.

    All participants consent to their personal data being transmitted to the insurance company cooperating with the Famagusta Run in the framework of the event, for purposes related to the insurance of participants in case of accident during the event.

    The photos and videos of the participants are uploaded on the website of the Official Photo Agency of the event, visible to the public without time limitation. Any photographs may be purchased online following the event. Participants may contact the Organizers for any issues related to this processing.

    The National Anti-Doping Organization of Cyprus has the right to carry out anti-doping tests on any participant, adult or minor, at any stage of the event – before, during, or after the race – regardless of nationality or athlete level, in accordance with Cypriot law and international regulations

 
 Terms and conditions of registration 
 
  • Only runners that have duly, officially, and in time registered for the event can participate in the Famagusta Run races.

  • The event takes place on the day and time officially announced, regardless of weather conditions. In cases of exceptional circumstances or force majeure, the Organizing Committee has the right to postpone or cancel the event. In such cases, the registration fee is not refunded.

  • The personal data declared by the participant upon submission of the entry form must be true and correct.

  • Registration is possible only through the online registration platform on the official event website or any alternative method indicated by the Organizing Committee.

  • The Organizing Committee has the right to suspend or close registrations without prior notice.

  • A registration is considered valid only if the registration fee is fully paid and credited to the organizers’ accounts.

  • Payment by card implies consent to the transfer of personal data to the Bank for transaction purposes.

  • Registrations not paid within two (2) working days after submission are automatically cancelled.

  • It is forbidden to submit more than one registration for the same race by the same participant.

  • Changes or cancellations are allowed only according to the official Cancellation & Registration Management Policy on the event’s website.

  • Group registrations are managed exclusively by the respective group’s representative.

  • Changes to the selected t-shirt size may be possible upon request and approval by the Organizing Committee.

  • By submitting the entry form, participants declare:

    “I verify that on entering the Event (Marathon/10km Race/5km Race), I attest and certify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for competition in this event and my physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I declare that all information stated is correct, and I waive any claim for damages against the organizers. I give permission for the free use of my name and picture in any broadcast, telecast, or media coverage. I understand there is a health risk associated with group activities, and I take part at my own risk.”

    For minors, participation is allowed only with parental/guardian consent and provision of their details in the entry form.


    TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR RACE BIB AND KIT COLLECTION

    Race bibs and kits must be collected in person from the Runners’ Center during the announced days/hours, with a valid ID and the bib number notification email.

  • A registered runner may authorize another person to collect their bib by providing a copy of their ID and any required documents.
    • Bibs/kits will not be sent by post or courier under any circumstances.

    • Runner replacement or race changes can be done at the Runners’ Center only in accordance with the official Registration Management Policy.

    • Bibs/kits not collected during the official operating hours will not be distributed later.


    TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION (RACE DAYS)

    • Participation is at the runner’s own free will and risk.

    • The Famagusta Run Organizing Committee bears no responsibility for any injury, damage, or harm caused during the event.

    • Participants agree that their personal data may be shared with the timing company for live tracking, rankings, and results publication.

    • Participants consent to the use of their image by organizers, sponsors, or partners for promotional purposes without compensation.

    • Bib numbers are personal and cannot be transferred or given to another person.

    • Bibs must be worn on the front of the chest and visible at all times.

    • Runners must complete the back of their bib with contact and medical information.

    • All instructions by officials, volunteers, and staff must be followed, including withdrawal from the race if required.

    • Unauthorized entry into start/finish areas or on the race course is prohibited.

    • Any violation of rules may lead to disqualification.

    • Use of bicycles or wheeled equipment is prohibited unless approved by the Organizing Committee.

    Time limits:

    • 30km: 4 hours

    • 10km: 90 minutes

    • 5km: 60 minutes

    Official classification is based on gun time. Net time is provided for personal reference.

    Finisher medals are awarded only to registered runners who complete the race within the time limit
